Yeongseok Jeong (Gangwo, KOR) finished 6-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jeong defeated Junhwa Lee (Uiseong, KOR) 11-4, then won 9-4 against Minjun Kang (Seoul, KOR) and 8-6 against Jeongmin Kim (Gyeonggido, KOR). Jeong won 8-2 against Woojin Yang (Uijeongbu, KOR), then won 7-1 against JaeBeom Lee (Kyungil, KOR). Jeong went on to lose 8-3 against Chang-Min Kim (Gyeongbuk, KOR). Jeong lost 9-4 to ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR). Jeong lost 7-3 to Jeong where Jeong responded with a 9-3 win over Kim in their final qualifying round match.

Jeong earned 8.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Korean Curling Championships. For week 1 of the event schedule, Jeong did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jeong ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
