To advance to the championship game, Retornaz won 9-1 over Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2022 Adelboden International in Adelboden, Switzerland;
 
Retornaz finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Retornaz defeated Switzerland's Jan Iseli 8-1, then won 9-1 against Christian Bangerter (Bern, SUI) and 8-6 against Schnider. Retornaz won 7-1 against Eddy Mercier (Megeve, FRA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Adelboden International Championship title, Retornaz earned 26.250 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 5.25 after improving upon their best so far this season. Retornaz ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 67.500 points earned so far this season.
