To advance to the championship game, Deruelle won 8-4 over Landan Rooney (Whitby, ON) in the semifinals of the 2022 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-4 over Jordan Chandler (Little Current, NONT) in the quarterfinals.

Deruelle finished 2-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Deruelle lost 5-4 to Switzerland's Jan Iseli, then responded with a 8-4 win over Ferris. Deruelle won 8-6 against Dennis Moretto (Woodbridge, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the COMCO Cash Spiel, Deruelle take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $1,700CDN prize. For week 15 of the event schedule, Deruelle did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Deruelle ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
