Eduard Nikolov (Kyiv, UKR) lost 8-2 to Ireland's John Wilson in the Final of the European Curling Championships C-Division, held April 30 - May 5, 2022 in Kaunas, Lithuania. To advance to the championship game, Nikolov won 10-7 over Konstantin Rykov (Vilnius, LTU) in the semifinals of the 2022 European Curling Championships C-Division in Kaunas, Lithuania;
Nikolov finished 6-2 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nikolov defeated Alen Cadez (Zagreb, CRO) 6-5, then went on to lose 6-4 against Ireland's John Wilson. Nikolov responded with a 9-1 win over Rykov. Nikolov went on to lose 6-4 against Allen Coliban (Bucharest, ROU). Nikolov responded with a 6-5 win over Reto Seiler (Sofia, BUL). Nikolov won 10-4 against Liechtenstein's Matt Lukas, then won 6-3 against Andorra's Josep Garcia and 7-2 against Steve Seixeiro (Lisbon, POR) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the European Curling Championships C-Division, Nikolov take home 5.156 world rankings points, moving up 281 spots the World Ranking Standings into 248th place overall with 5.156 total points. Nikolov ranks 248th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.156 points earned so far this season.
