Allen Coliban (Bucharest, ROU) finished 4-4 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Coliban defeated Andorra's Josep Garcia 11-2, then went on to lose 11-2 against Liechtenstein's Matt Lukas. Coliban responded with a 7-3 win over Reto Seiler (Sofia, BUL). Coliban won 6-4 against Eduard Nikolov (Kyiv, UKR). Coliban went on to lose 7-6 against Ireland's John Wilson. Coliban lost 11-4 to Konstantin Rykov (Vilnius, LTU) where Coliban responded with a 9-1 win over Alen Cadez (Zagreb, CRO). Coliban went on to lose 5-3 against Steve Seixeiro (Lisbon, POR) in their final qualifying round match.

Coliban earned 1.406 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 94 spots the World Ranking Standings into 367th place overall with 1.406 total points. Coliban ranks 367th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.406 points earned so far this season.
