Reto Seiler (Sofia, BUL) finished 2-6 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Seiler lost 10-6 to Steve Seixeiro (Lisbon, POR), droppimg another game, 6-4 to Alen Cadez (Zagreb, CRO). Seiler lost 7-3 to Allen Coliban (Bucharest, ROU). Seiler lost 6-5 to Eduard Nikolov (Kyiv, UKR) where Seiler responded with a 8-7 win over Liechtenstein's Matt Lukas. Seiler went on to lose 5-4 against Konstantin Rykov (Vilnius, LTU). Seiler lost 11-2 to Ireland's John Wilson where Seiler responded with a 12-2 win over Andorra's Josep Garcia in their final qualifying round match.

Seiler earned 0.703 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 44 spots the World Ranking Standings into 323rd place overall with 2.039 total points. Seiler ranks 323rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.039 points earned so far this season.
