Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) won 5-4 over Yannick Schwaller (Geneva, SUI) in the Final of the Princess Auto Players' Championship, held April 11 - 16, 2023 in Toronto, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Koe won 7-6 over Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in the semifinals of the 2023 Princess Auto Players' Championship in Toronto, Ontario; and won 5-3 over Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Princess Auto Players' Championship in Toronto, Ontario;
Koe finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Brendan Bottcher (Calgary, AB) 6-5, then went on to lose 7-3 against Gushue. Koe responded with a 9-5 win over Magnus Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR). Koe won 8-2 against Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN), then won 6-5 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Princess Auto Players' Championship Championship title, Koe earned 75.000 world rankings points along with the $40,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 8th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 54 after improving upon their best so far this season. Koe ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 306.250 points earned so far this season.
