Mark Watt (Perth, SCO) qualified for the 2022 St. Galler Elite Challenge playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-2 against Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI).

Watt finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Watt defeated Yves Stocker (Zug, SUI) 9-7, then won 5-4 against Ross Paterson (Glasgow , SCO) and 8-3 against Rene Iseli (Aarau, SUI). Watt won 7-1 against Konrad Stych (Lodz, POL) in their final qualifying round match.
