To advance to the championship game, Immonen/Sipila won 8-3 over Susanna Santti/Iikko Santti (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in the semifinals of the 2021 Nazarbayev Curling Cup WCT Mixed Doubles in Almaty, Kazakhstan; and won 10-4 over Angelina Ebauyer/Madiyar Korabayev (Almaty, KAZ) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 Nazarbayev Curling Cup WCT Mixed Doubles in Almaty, Kazakhstan;

Immonen/Sipila finished 5-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Immonen/Sipila defeated Diana Targyn/Bagdat Akkazanov (Almaty, KAZ) 14-0, then won 5-4 against Sitora Alliyarova/Aidos Alliyar (Almaty, KAZ) and 11-3 against Zarina Seidakhankyzy/Damir Aldiyar (Almaty, KAZ). Immonen/Sipila won 8-1 against Tilsimay Alliyarova/Sergei Venevtsev (Krasnoyarsk, RUS), then won 10-1 against Izzat Ergashova/Dimitriy Garagul (Almaty, KAZ) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Nazarbayev Curling Cup WCT Mixed Doubles Championship title, Immonen/Sipila earned 21.969 world rankings points along with the $6,326CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 21.97 after improving upon their best so far this season.
