Kaila Buchy (Kimberley, BC) won 7-6 over Mary-Anne Arsenault (Kelowna, BC) in the Final of the Sunset Ranch Kelowna Double Cash, held November 5 - 7, 2021 at the Kelowna Curling Club in Kelowna, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Buchy won 6-3 over Shiella Cowan (Vancouver, BC) in the semifinals of the 2021 Sunset Ranch Kelowna Double Cash in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada;
Buchy finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Buchy defeated Taylor Reese-Hansen (Kitimat, BC) 7-1, then won 8-2 against Marnie Jepsen (New Westminster, BC) and 5-4 against Arsenault. Buchy went on to lose 6-0 against Kayla MacMillan (Vancouver, BC). Buchy responded with a 7-2 win over Shawna Jensen (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Sunset Ranch Kelowna Double Cash Championship title, Buchy earned 16.964 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 69 spots the World Ranking Standings into 100th place overall with 21.163 total points. Buchy ranks 73rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.964 points earned so far this season.
