Edin finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Jared St. John (Penticton, BC) 8-4, then won 7-0 against Wes Craig (Victoria, BC) and 7-2 against SooHyuk Kim (Gyeongbuk, KOR). Edin won 5-4 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB), then won 4-3 against Jeremy Harty (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
