Sturmay responded with a 7-4 win over Dean Joanisse (Maple Ridge, BC). Sturmay went on to lose 5-2 against Colton Flasch (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
The berth into the first round of the Nufloors Penticton Curling Classic playoffs earned Sturmay 9.281 world rankings points. For week 12 of the event schedule, Sturmay did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 23rd to 26th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 107.259 total points. Sturmay ranks 23rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 42.261 points earned so far this season.
