Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED) finished 4-2 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gosgens defeated Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR) 9-3, then went on to lose 9-4 against Sergei Glukhov (Moscow, RUS). Gosgens responded with a 12-3 win over Ting-Li Lin (Taiwan, TPE). Gosgens won 7-1 against Sergio Vez (Vitoria-Gasteiz, ESP), then won 6-4 against Kalle Kiiskinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Gosgens went on to lose 6-4 against Takumi Maeda (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the World Qualification Event, Gosgens take home 7.425 world rankings points. Gosgens move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 2.305 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 34th overall with 97.311 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Gosgens ranks 45th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 63.962 points earned so far this season.
