In their opening game, Paulova/Paul defeated Ildiko Szekeres/Gyorgy Nagy (Budapest, HUN) 7-5, then won 6-5 against Oona Kauste/Aku Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) and 10-4 against Oihane Unanue/Mikel Unanue (San-Sebastian, ESP). Paulova/Paul won 1-0 against Daina Barone/Arnis Veidemanis (Riga, LAT), then won 7-4 against Clancy Grandy/Alexander Magan (Zoetermeer, NED) in their final qualifying round match.
