Michael Fournier (Montreal, QC) lost 8-3 to Yves Stocker (Zug, SUI) in the Final of the Capital Curling Fall Mens, held September 23 - 26, 2021 at the RCMP Curling Club in Ottawa, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Fournier won 8-3 over Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) in the semifinals of the 2021 Capital Curling Fall Mens in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and won 5-4 over Shane Latimer (Ajax, ON) in the quarterfinals.
 
Fournier finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fournier defeated Greg Inglis (Carrying Place, ON) 7-3, then won 8-0 against Yannick Martel (Saguenay, QC) and 7-1 against Sandy MacEwan (Sudbury, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Capital Curling Fall Mens, Fournier take home 20.305 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN prize, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 29th place overall with 79.467 total points.
