Manitoba's Calleen Friesen lost 10-6 to Saskatchewan's Mandy Selzer in the Final of the M&M Meats Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships, held January 21 - 29, 2006 at the Fort William Curling Club in Thunder Bay, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Manitoba's Calleen Friesen won 10-6 over Nova Scotia's Sarah Murphy in the semifinals of the 2006 M&M Meats Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada;
 
Manitoba's Calleen Friesen finished 8-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Manitoba's Calleen Friesen defeated Nova Scotia's Sarah Murphy 8-5, then won 6-5 against Northern Ontario's Tracy Fleury and 8-5 against Alberta's Megan Kirk. Manitoba's Calleen Friesen won 10-4 against Newfoundland / Labrador's Stacie Curtis, then won 7-2 against Prince Edward Island's Meaghan Hughes. Manitoba's Calleen Friesen went on to lose 8-6 against Quebec's Sophie Morissette. Manitoba's Calleen Friesen lost 8-5 to Saskatchewan's Mandy Selzer where Manitoba's Calleen Friesen responded with a 8-4 win over British Columbia's Kirsten Fox. Manitoba's Calleen Friesen won 8-6 against Northwest Territories's Kate Jefferson. Manitoba's Calleen Friesen went on to lose 8-7 against New Brunswick's Mary Jane McGuire. Manitoba's Calleen Friesen responded with a 9-5 win over Ontario's Lisa Farnell in their final qualifying round match.
