After advancing directly to the championship game, British Columbia's Tyrel Griffith lost 7-2 to Alberta's Charley Thomas in the Final of the M&M Meats Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships, held January 21 - 29, 2006 at the Fort William Curling Club in Thunder Bay, Canada.

In their opening game, British Columbia's Tyrel Griffith defeated Northern Ontario's Jeff Sargent 8-4, then won 10-6 against Prince Edward Island's Brett Gallant. British Columbia's Tyrel Griffith went on to lose 5-4 against Ontario's Codey Maus. British Columbia's Tyrel Griffith responded with a 12-7 win over Saskatchewan's Mitch Heidt. British Columbia's Tyrel Griffith won 7-2 against Quebec's Martin Crete, then won 8-4 against New Brunswick's Jeremy Mallais and 14-3 against Northwest Territories's Colin Miller. British Columbia's Tyrel Griffith won 6-4 against Alberta's Charley Thomas, then won 9-3 against Manitoba's Travis Bale. British Columbia's Tyrel Griffith went on to lose 5-3 against Nova Scotia's Dominic Daemen. British Columbia's Tyrel Griffith responded with a 8-5 win over Yukon's Trevor Prosko.
