Ashley Waye/Rob Retchless (Toronto, ON) lost 9-3 to Clancy Grandy/Patrick Janssen (Pickering, ON) in the Final of the GOLDLINE Valleyfield Mixed Doubles, held October 15 - 17, 2021 at the Valleyfield Curling Club in , Quebec. To advance to the championship game, Waye/Retchless won 8-5 over Catherine Liscumb/Chris Liscumb (Ilderton, ON) in the semifinals of the 2021 GOLDLINE Valleyfield Mixed Doubles in , Quebec; and won 7-6 over Kelly Tremblay/Pierre Lanoue (Montreal, QC) in the quarterfinals.

Waye/Retchless finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Waye/Retchless defeated Lauren Wasylkiw/Shane Konings (Unionville, ON) 8-4, then won 7-5 against Sophie Sanscartier/Stephane Brabant (Montreal, QC) and 10-5 against Tremblay/Lanoue in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the GOLDLINE Valleyfield Mixed Doubles, Waye/Retchless take home 22.358 world rankings points along with the $640CDN prize, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 20.064 after improving upon their best so far this season. Waye/Retchless ranks 28th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 26.906 points earned so far this season.
