To advance to the championship game, Gim won 6-4 over Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg , SWE) in the semifinals of the 2021 Vesta Energy Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 8-7 over Robyn Silvernagle (North Battleford, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 Vesta Energy Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta;
Gim finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gim defeated Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) 5-3, then won 5-2 against Beth Peterson (Winnipeg, MB) to advance to the A-Qualifier where they 7-6 against Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Vesta Energy Red Deer Curling Classic, Gim take home 36.218 world rankings points along with the $7,000CDN prize, remaining in 12th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 15.635 after improving upon their best so far this season. Gim ranks 9th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 100.328 points earned so far this season.
