Thomas Freitag (Wallisellen, SUI) finished 3-4 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Freitag defeated Jan Klossner (Lausanne, SUI) 8-0, then went on to lose 7-1 against Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI). Freitag responded with a 4-2 win over Jan Iseli (Solothun, SUI). Freitag went on to lose 9-3 against Jannis Bannwart (St. Gallen, SUI). Freitag responded with a 8-6 win over Sandro Fanchini (Wetzikon, SUI). Freitag went on to lose 8-2 against Noe Traub (Basel, SUI). Freitag lost 7-4 to Dean Huerlimann (Zug, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Freitag earned 2.405 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Freitag did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Freitag ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
