To advance to the championship game, Schultz won 9-8 over Nicole Vorachek (Bismarck, ND) in the semifinals
 
Schultz finished 8-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schultz defeated Miyo Konno (Seattle, WA) 11-9, then won 6-2 against Jayne Flinn-Burton (Tempe, AZ). Schultz went on to lose 8-7 against Janice Langanke (Plainfield, NJ). Schultz responded with a 12-6 win over BriAnna Weldon (Denver, CO). Schultz won 13-0 against Heather Semenuik (Chicago, IL), then won 8-3 against Norma O'Leary (Duluth, MN) and 11-10 against Mandy Hampton (Madison, WI). Schultz won 9-0 against Vorachek, then won 12-7 against Swisshelm in their final qualifying round match.
