Yumiko Kashiwagi (Karuizawa, JPN) finished 3-5 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kashiwagi lost 10-3 to Shiori Fujisawa (Karuizawa, JPN), then responded with a 8-5 win over Honoka Sasaki (Sapporo, JPN). Kashiwagi went on to lose 8-2 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Kashiwagi lost 8-5 to Seina Nakajima (Nagano, JPN) where Kashiwagi responded with a 10-4 win over Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN). Kashiwagi went on to lose 6-2 against Shinobu Aota (Aomori, JPN). Kashiwagi responded with a 11-2 win over Yuki Shibuto (Hiroshima, JPN). Kashiwagi went on to lose 9-4 against Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Kashiwagi earned 6.546 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 30 of the event schedule, Kashiwagi did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kashiwagi ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
