Aota won 7-4 against Honoka Sasaki (Sapporo, JPN), then won 6-2 against Yumiko Kashiwagi (Karuizawa, JPN). Aota went on to lose 8-3 against Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Aota earned 8.728 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 30 of the event schedule, Aota did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
