Kendal Thompson (Halifax, NS) lost 10-4 to Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Deloitte Nova Scotia Tankard, held January 20 - 26, 2020 at the Dartmouth Curling Club in Dartmouth, Canada.

Thompson went on to lose 10-6 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS). Thompson responded with a 8-7 win over Stuart Thompson (Dartmouth, NS). Thompson won 7-3 against Alan O'Leary (Halifax, NS), then won 6-5 against Murphy and 8-4 against Chad Stevens (Truro, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Deloitte Nova Scotia Tankard, Thompson take home 8.663 world rankings points.
