Italy's Veronica Zappone finished 5-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Italy's Veronica Zappone defeated Sitora Alliyarova (Almaty, KAZ) 10-4, then won 9-5 against Ieva Rudzite (Riga, LAT) and 10-1 against Irena Mancek (Ljubljana, SLO). Italy's Veronica Zappone went on to lose 7-2 against Chinese Taipei's Amanda Chou. Italy's Veronica Zappone responded with a 9-8 win over Ling-Yue Hung (Hong Kong , HKG). Italy's Veronica Zappone won 9-2 against Poland's Marta Szeliga-Frynia in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event Championship title, Italy's Veronica Zappone earned 19.152 world rankings points, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 36.749 total points.
