Marcus Sawiak (Sherwood Park, AB) run at the 2019 North Hill Thanksgiving U18 Bonspiel came to an end in the semifinals with a 11-4 loss to James Ballance (Okotokes, AB).
 
Sawiak finished 2-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sawiak defeated Alberta's Josh Kroker 7-4, then won 9-7 against Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB). Sawiak went on to lose 8-3 against Alberta's Clarence Cheung in their final qualifying round match.
