In their opening game, Gim lost 5-4 to Jamie Sinclair (Chaska, MN), droppimg another game, 6-4 to Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) where Gim responded with a 8-4 win over Min Ji Kim (Chuncheon, KOR). Gim went on to lose 8-6 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
