Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) won 7-4 over John Shuster (Duluth, USA) in the Final of the WCT Uiseong International Curling Cup, held September 30 - October 3, 2019 in Uiseong, Korea. To advance to the championship game, McEwen won 10-3 over SooHyuk Kim (Seoul, KOR) in the semifinals
 
McEwen finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEwen defeated Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene , ON) 8-1, then won 6-5 against Joel Retornaz (Pinerolo, ITA) and 4-2 against Shuster. McEwen won 9-3 against Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the WCT Uiseong International Curling Cup Championship title, McEwen earned 47.897 world rankings points along with the $27,753CDN first prize cheque. McEwen move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 22.154 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 13th overall with 301.666 total points on the World Ranking Standings. McEwen ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 69.975 points earned so far this season.
