Ruohonen went on to lose 5-4 against Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA). Ruohonen responded with a 7-4 win over Korey Dropkin (Chaska, USA). Ruohonen won 8-4 against Todd Birr (Ham Lake, MN), then won 11-10 against Steven Birklid (Mountlake Terrace, WA) in their final qualifying round match.
