In their opening game, Retornaz defeated Marc Strasser (Bern, SUI) 8-2, then won 7-2 against Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) and 7-4 against Daniel Magnusson (Karlstad, SWE) to advance to the A-Qualifier where they 8-6 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oppdal, NOR) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
