Muirhead finished 3-0 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Ben Gamble (Regina, SK) 11-4, then won 9-2 against Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK) and 7-3 against Saskatchewan's Jason Jacobson in their final qualifying round match.
