Harty finished 4-0 in the 23-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Harty defeated Cole Adams (Calgary, AB) 6-4, then won 8-1 against Sluchinski and 7-3 against Jacob Libbus (Edmonton , AB). Harty won 5-2 against Warren Kozak (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Avonair Cash Spiel Championship title, Harty earned 24.890 world rankings points along with the $3,400CDN first prize cheque.
