In their opening game, Jackson defeated Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB) 10-7, then went on to lose 8-1 against Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO). Jackson lost 5-3 to Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK) where Jackson responded with a 7-5 win over Daniel Wenzek (New Westminster, BC). Jackson went on to lose 8-1 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Jackson earned 7.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 100 spots the World Ranking Standings into 228th place overall with 10.938 total points. Jackson ranks 190th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.162 points earned so far this season.
