Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) won 4-2 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic, held November 22 - 25, 2019 at the Penticton Curling Club in Penticton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Bottcher won 6-4 over Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2019 Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada; and won 5-4 over Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada;
Bottcher finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Tyler Tardi (Surrey, BC) 8-5, then went on to lose 7-3 against Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO). Bottcher responded with a 4-1 win over Jason Montgomery (Victoria, BC). Bottcher won 2-1 against Kirk Muyres (Saskatoon, SK), then won 8-0 against Dean Joanisse (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic Championship title, Bottcher earned 71.250 world rankings points along with the $20,800CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 3rd place overall with 462.958 total points. Bottcher ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 166.523 points earned so far this season.
