Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) qualified for the 2019 Kioti Tractor Tour Challenge Tier 1 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-2 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB). of the 2019 Kioti Tractor Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Pictou County, Nova Scotia;

McEwen finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEwen lost 7-4 to Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB), then responded with a 6-4 win over John Shuster (Duluth, USA). McEwen won 7-6 against Peter De Cruz (Geneva, SUI). McEwen went on to lose 8-5 against Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

McEwen earned 32.434 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Kioti Tractor Tour Challenge Tier 1, remaining in 12th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 27.894 after improving upon their best so far this season.
