Colin Thomas (St. John's, NL) won 7-3 over Jeff Thomas (St. John's, NL) in the Final of the Cabot Spiel, held September 21 - 22, 2019 at the Remax Centre in St. John's, . To advance to the championship game, Thomas won 6-2 over Trent Skanes (St. John's, NL) in the semifinals of the 2019 Cabot Spiel in St. John's; and won 5-3 over Ken Peddigrew (St. John's, NL) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Cabot Spiel in St. John's;

Thomas finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thomas defeated Peddigrew 8-4, then won 7-0 against Justin Hewitt (St. John's, NL). Thomas went on to lose 6-5 against Evan McDonah (St. John's, NL). Thomas responded with a 5-2 win over Rick Rowsell (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Cabot Spiel Championship title, Thomas earned 11.999 world rankings points along with the $2,400CDN first prize cheque, moving up 99 spots the World Ranking Standings into 161st place overall with 18.032 total points. Thomas ranks 60th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.999 points earned so far this season.
