Zou lost 10-5 to Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED). Zou lost 7-5 to John Shuster (Duluth, USA) where Zou responded with a 8-3 win over Magnus Ramsfjell (Oslo, NOR). Zou went on to lose 9-6 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO). Zou lost 6-4 to Marc Muskatewitz (Baden Baden, GER). Zou lost 8-4 to Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Zou earned 8.608 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. Zou move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 6.015 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 52nd overall with 83.254 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
