Koe finished 9-3 in the 13 team Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men's Curling Championship qualifying round, held March 30 - April 7, 2019 in , . In their opening game, Koe defeated SooHyuk Kim (Seoul, KOR) 6-5, then won 11-3 against Sergei Glukhov (Sochi, RUS) and 9-5 against Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA). Koe won 8-6 against Qiang Zou (Beijing, CHN), then won 10-2 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Oslo, NOR) and 7-4 against Marc Muskatewitz (Baden Baden, GER). Koe went on to lose 9-3 against Yuta Matsumura (Sapporo, JPN). Koe lost 9-4 to Edin where Koe responded with a 6-3 win over John Shuster (Duluth, USA). Koe went on to lose 8-6 against Mouat. Koe responded with a 10-3 win over De Cruz. Koe won 6-5 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) in their final qualifying round match.
