Sarah Mallais (Saint John, NB) qualified for the 2018 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 10-8 against Andrea Crawford (Fredericton, NB). of the 2018 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada;

Mallais finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mallais defeated Erica Cluff (Fredericton, NB) 7-4, then went on to lose 9-3 against Cathlia Ward (St. John's, NL). Mallais responded with a 7-6 win over Sijia Liu (Harbin, CHN). Mallais won 9-5 against Sandy Comeau (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

Mallais earned 6.565 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 129th place overall with 24.314 total points. Mallais ranks 127th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.304 points earned so far this season.
