Epping finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Epping defeated Kirk Muyres (Saskatoon, SK) 8-1, then went on to lose 6-3 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO). Epping lost 8-4 to Edin where Epping responded with a 4-3 win over Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB). Epping won 5-3 against Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Meridian Canadian Open, Epping take home 63.979 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN prize.
