To advance to the championship game, Friesen won 5-0 over Shae Bevan (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2018 Teulon MJCT Womens Spiel in Teulon, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Friesen finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Friesen defeated Bevan 6-3, then won 6-5 against Serena Gray-Withers (Lorette, MB) and 8-2 against Zacharias in their final qualifying round match.
