Carter Watkins (Winnipeg, MB) won 5-4 over Joshua Friesen (Morris, MB) in the Final of the Teulon MJCT Mens Spiel, held February 23 - 25, 2018 at the Teulon Curling Club in Teulon, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Watkins won 7-2 over Zachary Wasylik (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals
 
Watkins finished 2-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Watkins lost 6-5 to Jack Hykaway (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 7-2 win over Thomas Dunlop (East St. Paul, MB). Watkins won 8-4 against Reese Braden (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
