Wang lost 6-1 to Ross Whyte (Dumfries, SCO) where Wang responded with a 8-7 win over Hyeonjun Hwang (Chuncheon, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Wang earned 1.334 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 31 of the event schedule, Wang did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
