Steffen Walstad (Oppdal, NOR) qualified for the 2018 Aberdeen International Curling Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-6 against Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO). of the 2018 Aberdeen International Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland;

Walstad finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walstad defeated Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) 6-5, then won 11-3 against Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) and 5-3 against Callum Kinnear (Perth, SCO).
