Jeff Guignard (Vancouver, BC) won 4-3 over Adam Cseke (Kelowna, BC) in the Final of the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic, held September 29 - October 2, 2017 at the Vernon Curling Club in Vernon, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Guignard won 8-6 over Dean Joanisse (Maple Ridge, BC) in the semifinals of the 2017 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Guignard finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Guignard defeated Matthew McCrady (New Westminster, BC) 4-3, then won 8-3 against Joanisse and 7-4 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic Championship title, Guignard earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 8 of the event schedule, Guignard did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 123rd to 126th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 23.809 total points. Guignard ranks 82nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.671 points earned so far this season.
