In their opening game, Watling defeated Emma Jensen (Dauphin, MB) 7-4, then won 9-1 against Kathryn Cullen (Beausejour, MB) and 8-2 against Shae Bevan (Winnipeg, MB). Watling won 7-2 against Kaitlyn Payette (Brandon, MB), then won 6-3 against Rebecca Lamb (Stonewall, MB) and 6-1 against Meghan Walter (Winnipeg, MB). Watling won 7-5 against Burtnyk in their final qualifying round match.
