In their opening game, Burtnyk defeated Kathryn Cullen (Beausejour, MB) 11-6, then won 8-2 against Emma Jensen (Dauphin, MB) and 10-3 against Kaitlyn Payette (Brandon, MB). Burtnyk went on to lose 8-5 against Shae Bevan (Winnipeg, MB). Burtnyk responded with a 10-8 win over Meghan Walter (Winnipeg, MB). Burtnyk won 8-7 against Rebecca Lamb (Stonewall, MB). Burtnyk went on to lose 7-5 against Watling in their final qualifying round match.
