Magnus Ramsfjell (Jar, NOR) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Ramsfjell finished 6-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . Ramsfjell won 8-7 against Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO), then won 7-3 against Ugurcan Karagoz (Eruzurum, TUR) and 8-2 against Zhi Yu Wang (Harbin, CHN). Ramsfjell went on to lose 8-5 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, CAN). Ramsfjell lost 5-3 to Andrew Stopera (Blaine, USA) where Ramsfjell responded with a 10-4 win over Marco Onnis (Trentino, ITA). Ramsfjell won 8-6 against Jan Hess (Zug, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Ramsfjell earned 10.235 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the World Junior Men's Championship. For week of the event schedule, Ramsfjell did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Ramsfjell ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
