Ki Jeong Lee (Uiseong, KOR) won 5-4 over Andrew Stopera (Blaine, USA) in the Final of the World Junior Men's Championship, held February 16 - 26, 2017 in PyeongChang, Korea.
 
Lee finished 8-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lee defeated Magnus Ramsfjell (Jar, NOR) 6-4, then won 9-5 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, CAN) and 8-4 against Ugurcan Karagoz (Eruzurum, TUR). Lee won 7-4 against Stopera, then won 7-3 against Marco Onnis (Trentino, ITA) and 9-3 against Johan Nygren (Goteberg, SWE). Lee won 8-7 against Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO). Lee went on to lose 8-6 against Zhi Yu Wang (Harbin, CHN). Lee responded with a 11-6 win over Jan Hess (Zug, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the World Junior Men's Championship Championship title, Lee earned 16.858 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Lee did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Lee ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
