In their opening game, Horgan defeated Sam Mooibroek (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) 8-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Hayden Forrester (Winnipeg, MB). Horgan responded with a 4-3 win over Jan Hess (Zug, SUI). Horgan went on to lose 6-2 against Hunter Clawson (Potomac, MD). Horgan responded with a 8-3 win over Greg Smith (St. John's, NL). Horgan won 9-4 against Jordie Lyon-Hatcher (Ottawa, ON), then won 8-2 against Forrester in their final qualifying round match.
